Why Brookings?
Brookings is a growing university city filled with students, families, professionals, and people searching for purpose and community.
With more than 24,000 residents and no Southern Baptist churches currently in the city, we believe God has opened a door for a gospel-centered church to serve and reach this community.

Gather and develop a core team; prayerfully shape discipleship strategy and cultivate partnerships with local churches and individuals
January – May 2027
Relocate to Brookings, SD; establish rhythms within our families that foster deep community engagement
Summer 2027
Launch intentional outreach efforts and host mission teams focused on prayer walking, while continuing to build meaningful relationships throughout the community
January – May 2028
Begin starting and multiplying small groups (goal of at least 4 before launch)
August 2028
Soft launch with core small groups and initial gatherings
September 2029
Public launch of the church
